Mothers Day 2025
Mother’s Day wasn’t quite the same with Sammy 2,000 miles away in Arizona, but I did my best to make sure Carol felt truly pampered and appreciated. Our morning began with the squirrels peeking into our bedroom window, reminding us it was time to rise and feed the animals.
After a peaceful coffee together, Carol sipped her traditional Mother’s Day mimosa and talked with Sammy on the phone while I whipped up breakfast. We dined out on the patio, soaking in the fresh air. The rest of the day was all about Carol—she enjoyed some blissful “me time” gardening and sewing, two of her favorite pastimes.
We ended the day with a simple but cozy cookout. Though we didn’t get a chance to break in her new smoker, just being together made it special. And to top it all off, Sammy sent her a juicer—so thoughtful and perfect for her.
