Ride to Young, AZ - 04/04/20
A lot of times we will just jump on the bike and see where the wind will take us. This was one of those rides, we took a random route on the 288 towards Young, AZ. We had never been, and it turned out that the 40 miles of the 50 mile route unexpectedly turns to a rugged dirt trail. It was worth it: There were many spectacular views on the back-side of Roosevelt Lake, we encountered a mommy cow feeding her young calf in the middle of the dirt road, and a herd of deer that pranced out in front of us when we pulled over for a pee stop in the forest.
